It’s a lesson for all of us when we think there is room for nothing more in our lives. It shows that we can always extend ourselves to make room for the necessary and all the small things that makes life happy and meaningful.

Use Your Dish and Clothes Washer Efficiently | Gomestic

Use Your Dish and Clothes Washer Efficiently | Gomestic

With these days of high energy costs, it behooves us to go as lightly on energy consumption as possible. Dishwashers are especially efficient. They use less energy than washing dishes by hand. Clothes washers are comparable if cool or cold water is used. The use of hot water can spike up your power bill. The good news is that the new fabrics don’t need hot water, and work clothes can be presoaked and pretreated for grease and stains before beginning the washing cycle.

Physicians and The New Medicine | Healthmad

Physicians and The New Medicine | Healthmad

It’s a new day for medicine. It’s out with the old and in with the new. Who knows if it will be better or worse than the old system, but let’s hope for the best because we’re going to have it whether we like it or not. From the explanations I hear, it sounds better for patients. Doctors performance will be tracked and they will be held accountable. Patient satisfaction will be taken into consideration. In some hospitals the mortality rate for heart surgery has dropped from two percent to less than 0.5 percent in a year. Some physicians like the idea of working as team players and drawing a salary. Others still like to be captain of the ship. We will soon know if the new medicine is better or worse than the old way.

Einstein and The Big Bang Theory | Scienceray

When Astronomers today say they are following Einsteins theory of relatively, they are actually not. Einstein never accepted the Big Bang theory. Partially because he made two mistakes in his original theory. Partially because Einstein said the Big Bang theory made no sense. He never in his lifetime accepted the Big Bang as the way our universe came into being or Black Holes. He always looked for another explanation.

Retouched Photos of Models and Celebrities Damaging to Girls | Healthmad

Retouched photos in glamor magazines and other advertising venues are doing serious damage to young girls. If these photos are banned it will be a step up for the physical health of young girls in the United States and Europe. Europeans and the U.S. have long complained about the psychological and physical damage these retouched photos do to girls. Trying to live up to this image of beauty is an unreality which is impossible to achieve. They are the cause of anorexia, bulimia, and death in more cases than we like to admit.

A Message to My Triond Friends | Writinghood

It hasn’t happened to me too many times so I’ll get over it. I want to apologize to my Triond friends and tell you how sorry I am that I have been unavailable to comment on your work for the last couple of days, but I hope to be back in the grove soon if nothing else happens. I was at the hospital with family and now I must get Christmas shopping and cooking done. We will have Christmas visitors on Tuesday and we siblings are having our annual Christmas get together on the 17th. One set of grandkids will be coming in on the 21st from Arizona . Others from Savannah and Virginia a couple of days later. I will be so happy to see them all. We don’t see them near enough. It will be a busy time and I’m sure many of you will have a busy holiday also. There is so much to do, and I will love every minute of it.

How to Manage Anger Attacks | Socyberty

How to Manage Anger Attacks | Socyberty

If you are easy to get angry and fly off the handle, there are strategies to get to the bottom of the situation and perhaps find a solution. Holding a grudge is detrimental to your health and happiness. Don’t deny and cover up your anger but face it and learn to control your reaction to it. You can learn to get your point across rather than blowing up at a person who takes a different view, or you can walk away until you have better control of yourself.

Please check out a young writer who has just published his first book. He is a veteran of two tours of duty in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan. You will find him on twitter: @authorDWHawkins

Easy Eddie and Butch O’Hare | Scienceray

I didn’t write this article, it was passed on to me by Henry Henderson and it was passed to him by Donald Watson. I thought it was a fantastic story and wanted to share it with you. Triond might not publish it since it isn’t my own writing but I’ll give it a good try. The stories are said to be true, but I have no personal knowledge of them. I hope you enjoy these amazing stories as much as I did.

Two Stories (Below) BOTH TRUE – and worth reading!!!!

STORY NUMBER ONE

Many years ago, Al Capone virtually owned Chicago. Capone wasn’t famous for anything heroic. He was notorious for enmeshing the windy city in everything from bootlegged booze and prostitution to murder.

Lessons Kids Need to Learn | Gomestic

Lessons Kids Need to Learn | Gomestic

Kids are smarter than you think. They can learn quickly if provided with the opportunity. Who but you, the parent, taught them to expect presents and too much of everything to appreciate anything? They were not born with such high expectations. Okay, you are happy to be able to provide so much, but is it helping or hurting the kids? Many parents are feeling the pinch with jobs lost and working hours cut back. The wherewithal isn’t there anymore. Some parents have raided their hard earned savings to continue gym classes and name brand jeans. It isn’t in the best interest of you or your children.

Hungry Children in America | Socyberty

Hungry Children in America | Socyberty

We have children in America who go to bed every night hungry. The shame is that we grow plenty of food for our citizens and ship food to other countries. So why must our children suffer hunger? There are programs in place. But there is a stigma in accepting free food. Besides that problem, many people who qualify never know food is available. Georgia is hoping to change that.

Romney Wants to Privatize The VHA | Socyberty

Romney Wants to Privatize The VHA | Socyberty

Mitt Romney wants to dismantle the present system of Veterans Health Care and replace it with privatization, even though the VHA provides better care for veterans than private citizens receive, and at less cost. Why change a program that’s working? Ask a Republican. It’s their fundamental believe that the private sector can do a better job than the government. Anyone can look at our Health Care System with insurance companies, doctors and hospitals all working for profit and see how that works. It puts half the population out of any kind of healthcare.
