Don’t choose your interior paint by brand name alone. Manufactures often change formulas to cut cost so don’t assume that paint you loved last time will give the same results when you paint again. Choose the right gloss levels. Flat paint hides marks and scratches better than gloss but isn’t as good at resisting stains. Semi gloss paints have a high gloss sheen and are easy to clean but tend to dull with cleaning. It’s best to use them sparingly. Low luster paints have the best points of all paints, and are ideal for most rooms.

In the 1700s and on into the next century very few women could write their own names. Education was considered harmful to girls. Girls were married early and expected to obey their husbands. Until then, they obeyed their fathers and brothers. Women cared for the children and household chores, and were completely under the rule of their husbands. They were chattel and had no rights under the law.
