Amina Araff Blogger as Gay Woman in Damascus | Socyberty

Amina Araff was a very popular blogger living in Damascus. She blogged as a gay woman to explain the situation in Syria for American audiences. The gay woman had hundreds of followers, maybe thousand but it all backfired last week when her cousin posted that Amina had been arrested by government security agents. Your Calorie Counter | Healthmad

Your Calorie Counter | Healthmad

When you are counting calories it’s good to have a counter at hand. If you are interested in the number of calories you eat ,you might want to make a couple of copies to have handy when you are food shopping, preparing a meal or when you go out to eat. Sometimes the number of calories in a serving is a total surprise. I didn’t include veggies because they are low in calories unless served in rich sauce, which add on the calories fast. Also if we choose to eat rich desserts we know what we’re getting into. Happy calorie counting to you and yours.

Writing for Beginners | Writinghood

Writing for Beginners | Writinghood

Many people would like to write a story but they wait for inspiration, the perfect subject or until they have more time. That time will probably never come unless you sit down and start now. It’s too easy to put it off until you have your plot and your characters in place. Until you have an idea of where to began. Germ Phobia | Healthmad

Germ Phobia | Healthmad

Germ phobia is out of hand in the U.S.. Almost everyone carries a bottle of antibacterial spray or packages of hand wipes. Public bathrooms have antibacterial soap. Grocery stores have wipes to clean the handle of buggies. It’s as if we are terrified of our own environment. Researchers say this germ phobia will eventually kill us if we don’t back off and let the germs do their job.

Understanding Dialogue | Socyberty

Understanding Dialogue | Socyberty

Dialogue is a Greek word meaning "free flowing." You can learn in dialogue to hold the tension and not react to it. To sustain respect for all the differences that arise, long enough to inquire into them. Dialogue with a group of people can begin to show the different things that go on inside all of us, all the different voices, some inherited from places we no longer recall. And some we created ourselves.

My Poetry | Authspot

Many of my friends might not know that I write poetry. It’s been quiet awhile since I have posted any poetry, but I enjoy writing it when the inspiration hits me. These were way on the back burner so I wanted to share them with you. I have written oodles of pieces over the years, (not all on Triond) but I do have many pieces here. I hope you enjoy some of my work.
