We can never repay our fallen heroes, or the parents, partners and children who are left behind. Let us be mindful today, on Memorial day, of their devotion and sacrifice. And let us never forget the cost of freedom.

Philip Morris Denies Responsibility | Socyberty
As usual the tobacco companies forge on to make billions more off sick and addicted people. Not only that but young people take up the habit every day to add to the coffers. It’s interesting how people lay out money for cigarettes, a product that sickens and destroys health, and complain about the price of gas. An addicted person is hardly responsible for his actions. Addiction takes over any sense of right or wrong. Be that as it may, tobacco companies are happy to take the money.

Composing a painting might seem like a simple thing, after all, you look at the scene and paint it. It isn’t that easy. A lot of thought must go into good composition. You must choose your scene and create a pathway (that your viewer doesn’t see) to draw him into the picture. You must take into account the horizon, distance and focal point and the emphasis on the water. It’s a very important part of painting so spend time on composition.

That’s why artists have difficulty painting water. It has so many facets it’s hard to get a handle on. What we must learn is to look and see. We have preconceived ideas about how things should look and that’s our downfall with painting. Most of our preconceived ideas are wrong.
