Snakes both venomous and harmless abound all over the United States. Some of the most poisonous are rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, and copperheads. They account for most deaths from snakebites in the U.S. We have some venomous snakes that rarely cause death although still poison. Many helpful snakes eat rats and are very mild mannered. Some make good pets.

Parents, I know you mean well, but if your kids are into sports, it’s not necessary to jump up and down on the bleachers and cry foul every time your child is reprimanded by the coach. It’s up to you to teach your child to follow the rules of the game and respect his coach. You are the adult and you should act like it. Teach your child to play the game fairly and to take his knocks if he doesn’t.
