Osama Bin Laden Taken Out | Socyberty

Osama Bin Laden Taken Out | Socyberty

Our Navy Seals did it and without losing a man. Osama bin Laden is past history. One of the most vicious terrorists is no more. He set himself up as the chosen one to rid the world of all infidels or non believers. He managed to hide out for years under the protection of the Taliban but they couldn’t save him in the end. This powerful crusader’s last action was holding a wife in front of him as a human shield.

  1. Now that I've had some time to process & think about it, I think that it is extremely sad how a person gets to this point. That point where their religious beliefs trump all reason.

This idea that "infidels" or "non-believers" need to be gotten rid of is not particular to the Muslim faith. It is everywhere in the Bible too, only they are called "sinners" a term I have grown to utterly detest in much the same way I hate the "n" word even when Blacks use it amongts themselves. It's degrading on a racial level.

But the term "sinner" has the same conotation as "infidel" & "n" in my ears, except that it is worse than the "n" word because now you are going even beyond race or ethnicity of any one individual. The term "sinner" is an attack against a person's inner being, their very soul, and just for being human.

When one of these religiosos call me a "sinner" or I hear a preacher telling me I'm a "sinner" from the pulpit, what I hear is them calling me the "n" word. That's how I react to that. It's bigotry. And people have not yet realized it because they are too busy grappling with how that term makes them feel bad about themselves just for being human.

Well that attitude is what lead people like Bin Laden to judge others as 'unworthy' to even live. Afterall they are "infidels" in his eyes, "sinners," in other words "ni***rs." And we know what the bible says about folks who refuse to believe - kill them if they don't repent. So many preachers have said this (and why I walked away from the church for years now. Why do we think it would be any different in the Koran and their followers?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad this character is dead - finally! He earned his demise with his arrogant views of other people based on the terrible texts of his holy book, but religion is the one breeding this kind of intollerance, and it is not unique to the fringe element in the Muslim religion. And we all need to guard against it. We see now how much suffering it can cause.
