An investigating officer in Sandy Springs had sex with a prostitute just before arresting her. Was this ethical behavior? Officer Jamaal Mayberry claims that it is, and that it’s common practice of investigators to gain the evidence they need for an arrest. His fellow officers disagree. They say in a similar investigation they would not cross that line.

Mexican workers come here every year on the guest-worker program, which is legal but many more are here illegally. Illegals take a great toll on schools, jails, hospitals and welfare programs. Farmers say they cannot do without immigrant workers to harvest crops. Thousands of dollars were lost this year in the Vidalia onion fields due to delays and paper work.

Composing a painting might seem like a simple thing, after all, you look at the scene and paint it. It isn’t that easy. A lot of thought must go into good composition. You must choose your scene and create a pathway (that your viewer doesn’t see) to draw him into the picture. You must take into account the horizon, distance and focal point and the emphasis on the water. It’s a very important part of painting so spend time on composition.

Water expresses itself in many ways. It can be dark and brooding. It can be frivolous and filled with light. It can babble and chatter, or be filled with heavy crashing waves. That’s why artists have difficulty painting water. It has so many facets it’s hard to get a handle on. What we must learn is to look and see. We have preconceived ideas about how things should look and that’s our downfall with painting. Most of our preconceived ideas are wrong.
