You Can Learn to Sew | Gomestic

You Can Learn to Sew | Gomestic

You can learn to sew. You can make beautiful clothes and enjoy your own creations. It doesn’t take expensive lessons. All it takes is a piece of material, a pattern, a pair of scissors, straight pins, thread and a needle. If you have a sewing machine, that’s great. But if not, don’t let that stop you. It will be more time consuming but the results will be just as satisfying.

Create Your Inner Peace | Socyberty

Create Your Inner Peace | Socyberty/

Inner peace may seem impossible with all the upheavals and disappointments we are faced with every day. But it is possible to create our own inner peace. Our government is promoting obesity by supporting dairy farmers to the tune of $140 million annually. The U.S. Department of Agriculture while urging Americans to consume less fat has turned it’s back on it’s own recommendations and is funding Dairy Management to get a surplus of milk fat back in circulation. They’ve teemed up with fast food places marketing high fat cheese. This is a disservice to our populations health and well being.

Who could have a bigger heart than coach Tom Walters of Wake Forest? On Monday, Walters gave a kidney to one of his recruits that had never had the opportunity to play his first game with Wake Forest’s baseball team, the Deacons. Kevin Jordan’s family were overjoyed when Walters was tested and found a good match for a kidney donor. Jordan was taking 35 pills and 10 hours of dialysis every day due to kidney failure. Now that’s all in the past, thanks to coach Walters, the coach with a big heart.
